had their tree, their branches to land on; but i didn't want the nest for mine was full of thorns and nettles unkind places to rest my head-- i had to trust in my own wings rather than the branches because they would poke and prod there was no place for me in my father's kingdom so i had to build my own, and so as the flowers blossomed and the trees sprouted their leaves i found my branches were my wings; they would never let me down from me is where my destiny flows no one can change my history but me. |
